CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. — Teller County authorities are investigating after a group of tourists on the hunt for fall colors came upon human remains.
The leaf peepers discovered the remains Friday afternoon in Rainbow Valley near Highway 67, according to Denver7 partner KRDO.
Teller County investigators secured the scene Friday and were expected back in the area Saturday.
