Posted

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office executed multiple search warrants across Morgan County on Tuesday morning.

It involved several houses from Wiggins to Log Lane Village to Fort Morgan.

Dozens of deputies and DEA agents had the road blocked off for hours on County Road Q.5 as law enforcement searched several homes in the 1800 block.

Neighbors tell Denver7 they heard sirens early Tuesday morning.

"Our daughter woke up this morning at I think she said around 4 or 4:30 a.m. with some sirens, and then she heard flashing lights," said Carrie Bohling who lives nearby.

Investigators were wearing hazmat suites as they entered several of the homes.

They also brought out nearly a dozen people who were seen wearing blankets out front.

Denver7 was also on-scene when an U-Haul arrived to haul away some of the evidence.

David Moore, a spokesperson for the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said their investigation lead them to Morgan County. He said they executed at least five search warrants.

Moore would not confirm whether or not the search warrants were drug related.

However, at a second location at a trailer located off Highway 52 in Wiggins Denver7 saw deputies remove what appeared to be giant pot plants from the home.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Moore said no one had been arrested but several people were detained.

The Sheriff's Office has released limited information, citing the ongoing investigation.

Moore said more details may be made available in the coming days.
