LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Police are asking for the public’s help finding three suspects caught on camera trying to rob two people at a Lakewood light rail station in April.

Officers responded to the Lamar light rail station on 13th Avenue around 9:40 p.m. on April 25. A man and a woman told police that they had accidentally gotten off the train at the Lamar station when they had intended to get off at the Wadsworth station.

While they were standing on the platform, three men approached and one showed a gun and demanded money, the victims said.

The male victim and one of the suspects got into an altercation and all three suspects then ran away, police said.

Police described the suspects as: A white male with dark hair and a tattoo on his chest, wearing a black pullover sweatshirt with a red hood and a Chicago Bulls logo on the back, dark-colored pants and red shoes; a Hispanic male with dark hair wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face, light-colored jeans and tan-colored shoes; and a dark-skinned male of Hispanic or African-American ethnicity, wearing a light-colored sweatshirt and a blue and white bandana over his face.
