LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Residents in one Lakewood community are upset after they were cut off from the grid for more than a week.
Mountain Aire Mobile Park near West 16th Avenue and Depew Street lost power New Year’s Day after a shed fire damaged the electrical system for the park.
Business Futures, the company that manages the park, told Dener7 power should have been restored Tuesday.
However, some residents are facing additional fees for withholding rent the week they were without power and feel the landlord should give them a break.
“It’s well over a $1,000 that I owe them for something I can’t even live in,” Mountain Aire resident Gary Lopez said.
