LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Lakewood resident Chris Martin was left with no other option but to help his wife deliver their baby at home. His wife, Brittany Martin, says there was no time to drive to the hospital after her water broke.
“I went to hop in the shower to clean off. By the time I got out, there was one big contraction,” said Brittany.
Martin says he was extremely nervous and anxious to deliver the baby.
“At that point, I had two lives in my hands: my wife’s and my newborn,” said Martin.
Martin immediately dialed 9-1-1, and an operator walked him through the delivery.
The couple welcomed a healthy baby girl. They named her Aralee May Martin.
