COPE, Colo. -- A Kansas family is desperately searching for father and son who vanished after getting into a car crash near Cope, Colorado.

Two weeks ago, 50-year-old Charles Stately was driving near County Road 11 and County Road TT just outside the town of Cope with a friend, according to his family. Stately’s family says he suddenly lost control and rolled over several times.

“We don't know if he was thrown out of the vehicle. We don't know any of that,” said Shirley Stately.

Cope Fire Chief Ron Marshall says when crews arrived on scene, Stately was nowhere to be found. Crews only found a woman injured in the passenger’s seat. The woman told firefighters she doesn’t remember what happened and seemed disoriented.

Stately’ s family has been out searching for him near the crash site with no luck.  The cope fire chief says they'll start another search for Stately on Monday.
