Jury to decide on deadly 'Make My Day' assault

Posted

Jurors must now make a decision in the trial of a man accused of beating someone to death outside a Frisco motel last year.

The Summit Daily reports jurors heard closing arguments Wednesday in 43-year-old Charles Sattler's retrial. He is facing assault and manslaughter charges in the death of 38-year-old Blake Bostic.

Sattler is accused of getting into a fight with Bostic outside the Snowshoe Motel. Bostic died hours later from blunt force trauma to the head.

Prosecutors had argued that Sattler acted knowingly and recklessly in the attack. The defense, however, argued that Sattler had only fought the man to defend his friend from an alleged attack by Bostic.

Sattler's murder trial ended in a mistrial in June, and the murder charge was dropped.
