DENVER (AP) - Prosecutors have charged a 21-year-old Lakewood man in the death of his 3-month-old daughter.
The Denver Post reports Josiah Lamarr Jones is facing several charges, including child abuse resulting in the March death of his daughter Naomi Jones.
Investigators say the girl was not breathing when paramedics arrived at a Lakewood home March 3. Jones and his daughter were the only two at the home.
Naomi had serious head injuries that detectives say were unexplained or inconsistent with the account that Jones provided. She died at a hospital three days later.
Jones was arrested Friday and is being held at the Jefferson County jail on $100,000 bail. Booking documents do not indicate if he has hired an attorney.
