JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A 12-year-old in Jefferson County has been missing since he left his home Thursday around 7 p.m.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Jasiah Serna left home, which is along the 11000 block of Spruce Canyon Circle, and hasn't been seen since.

He's described as standing about 5 feet tall with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a camouflage sweater and sweatpants with brown boots.

Deputies and Serna's family searched the residence and surrounding areas, but haven't found him as of 6 a.m. Friday.

Mike Taplin with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said deputies used FLIR units, which are infrared, to search for Serna overnight.

On Friday morning, officials were using drones and K-9 units to search for him.

If you see him, call 911 to report his whereabouts. Community searches are not needed as of now, Taplin said.
