A cold front will roll over the state Thursday from the southwest, dropping temperatures 20 to 25 degrees cooler than Wednesday. Light snow will move across the Front Range by the evening and will become more widespread late Thursday night, according to NWS.
It will continue overnight into Friday.
While total accumulation will stay relatively low, roads may become slick by the Friday morning commute, NWS said.
As snow falls on Friday morning, another weak wave is expected to drop in from the west and northwest, bringing light snow through most of the day and into Saturday.
A stronger system will move into western Colorado on Saturday evening. The storm could bring two to four hours of moderate snowfall across the eastern plains. NWS has not yet estimated snow totals for this storm.
Warmer and drier conditions will return Sunday, but the state will see a series of storms through late Monday and Tuesday, and again Thursday into Friday.
