PUEBLO, Colo. – More than 400 packages of illegal fireworks, 10 pounds of marijuana and three firearms -- these are not the items police say make for a good Fourth of July celebration.
Yet, Pueblo Police say that’s exactly what was seized from the home of a 52-year-old woman just days before the holiday.
Police allegedly found the items in Jeanette Medina’s home Wednesday during an execution of a search warrant. Police say they were tipped off to the sale of illegal fireworks coming from the home prior to the bust.
Medina was arrested and transported to the Pueblo County Jail. She is facing charges of possession of a weapon by a previous offender, possession with intent to manufacture or distribute marijuana and unlawful use or sales of fireworks.
