2. Broncos season opener
It's here, Broncos fans! The team kicks off the season tonight, taking on the LA Chargers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Kickoff is at 8:20 p.m.
3. Sept. 11 terror attacks anniversary
Monday marks 16 years since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Stair climb events around the country honor the heroism of first responders. The Red Rocks stair climb is the largest in the country.
4. Anniversary of 2013 floods
Today also is the four-year anniversary of the devastating 2013 floods in Colorado. Nine people were killed and about 19,000 homes and businesses were damaged.
5. Warm temperatures continue
For Monday, highs will be in the mid to upper 80s with a slight chance for scattered afternoon storms, mainly over the mountains.
