DENVER – One person was killed and two others hurt in an assault near downtown Denver early Friday.
Officers responded to the area of 24th Avenue and Curtis Street around 4:30 a.m.
Circumstances surrounding the incident aren't clear but police said one man was killed and two victims, a man and woman, were taken to the hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police said one person was in custody.
Curtis was closed between 23rd and 25th avenues and 24th Avenue is closed between Champa and Arapahoe while officers investigated.
