DENVER -- It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas after major light displays were turned on for the first time this season in Denver.
The Grand Illumination at Union Station turned heads Friday night. After a countdown and a turn of a switch, the 100-year-old downtown landmark was lit up for the holiday season.
Union Station is not the only downtown building basking in the light. The Denver City and County Building flipped the switch as well.
The Christmas lights are twinkling at the Botanic Gardens, too. Blossoms of Light got underway Friday and runs until Jan. 1.
