EVERGREEN, Colo. – Deputies arrested a hitchhiker Wednesday morning after the man allegedly pulled a gun on a driver who picked him up.
The driver picked the unnamed hitchhiker up near the intersection of Brook Forest and Blue Creek roads just before 10 a.m.
At some point, the man pulled a gun, so the driver got out of the car and called police, according to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mark Techmeyer.
The suspect started driving off but crashed the car shortly afterward. Deputies found him walking along the road and arrested him.
The suspect’s identity and possible charges have yet to be released.
