A hit-and-run suspect who drove off from the scene of the crash in an unmarked Denver Police Department car was arrested Wednesday, according to an official with the DPD.
Ravi Anthony Guerrero, 39, is now being held for investigation of motor vehicle aggravated theft, second-degree assault and menacing with a deadly weapon.
On Aug. 28, Guerrero, who police said was driving a stolen black Honda, was involved in a hit-and-run incident at the intersection of South Clay Street and West Dakota Avenue.
Moments after the crash, police said Guerrero tried to escape on foot, but while police chased him, he somehow circled around the area and got into an unmarked, gold Chrysler 300 vehicle belonging to the DPD.
That car was found two hours later in the area of West 6th Avenue and Wolff Street, but Guerrero remained at-large until Wednesday.
