Hit-and-run driver sought after running down 2 children, adult in west Denver

DENVER – Police in Denver are looking for a hit-and-run driver that struck two children and their 51-year-old grandmother Tuesday morning. Paramedics transported the three to the hospital with minor injuries.

The two children, ages 7 and 8, and the grandmother were walking northbound on South Yate Street near West Ohio Avenue when the suspect’s car came up behind all three and struck them.

The driver of the gray Nissan compact then sped away without attempting to render aid. Police are currently looking for the car and its driver.

No other details were immediately known.
