1. The Central 70 project starts today

The CDOT released a new infographic detailing a timeline for this project, which is supposed to take about four years to widen I-70. Here's everything you need to know about the project.  

2. The Aurora police chief defended his officer's actions 

On Thursday afternoon, the chief said the officer who fatally shot a Vietnam veteran after the 74-year-old shot a home intruder is "heartbroken." Here's the latest on this incident. 

3. Colorado fires leave ruin in their path

The most destructive wildfire in Colorado this season left not only a changed landscape behind, but changed lives. We talked with residents as they return to their homes and start the long process of rebuilding their lives.

4. Beautiful view of Red Rocks

On Friday morning, we flew over the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and foothills and while it was a bit cloudy out then, the sun will start peeking out soon. Be prepared for possible storms later this afternoon.  

5. Denver's March on the NRA

The march will take place at the state capital this weekend. Organizers posted on Facebook that "we should be able to protect ourselves with sensible laws on guns." Click here for more information. One group has withdrawn from the rally after receiving death threats on social media.
