DENVER – Get ready for another windy day across Colorado on Friday, with some snow in the mountains, too.

Areas west of I-25 were under a high wind watch until from Friday morning to 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Gusts of up to 70 mph were expected in some areas along the foothills northwest of Denver, including gusts of 60 mph in Boulder, 52 mph in Fort Collins and 54 mph in Estes Park. In the higher areas of the mountains, gusts could reach 75 mph or more, according to the latest forecast discussion from the Weather Service.

Travel could be difficult for high-profile vehicles, such as semi-trucks and tractor-trailers.

For the mountains, some pockets could see up to a foot of snow but projections weren't that high for most of the area, according to the Weather Service. Vail and Steamboat Springs are expected to see 4 inches, and Aspen, Glenwood Springs and Fraser could see 3 inches.

Not much snow is expected east of the Continental Divide, according to the latest probabilities, though gusty conditions could still cause travel issues through Friday.
