Snow fell in the high country for most Tuesday. Roads were left snow packed in spots and just wet in others.
On I-70, chain laws have been in place for truckers since Monday morning. Dozens of truckers were chaining up just outside Georgetown Monday morning.
As for business – like the Blue Moon Café in Silverthorne, the forecast of 1-2 feet of snow is a thrilling prospect this holiday week.
“When the snow comes, people come,” said Megan Katzman who lives and works in Summit County. “I just always hope for good snow and good attitude from people, and just a great day.”
Megan Means manages Blue Moon.
“Business is really good,” she said in between waiting on a long line of customers. “I mean, with the snow coming down – we’re definitely a popular place before people hit the mountain.”
