WELD COUNTY, Colo. — A school bus and semi truck crashed near the intersection of Highway 66 and County Road 13 Tuesday morning.

The bus was carrying two students of unknown ages. They were not injured in the crash. The driver had possible minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, said Fire Chief Dave Beebe of Mountain View Fire Rescue.

The driver of the semi was able to crawl out of the vehicle on their own, according to Mountain View Fire Rescue. He or she is being evaluated for injuries.

Highway 66 at County Road 13 is currently closed while emergency personnel work at the scene.

Beebe said heavy fog was present in the area at the time and believed to have been a factor.
