Hancock to host community call Monday to explain city efforts to prevent youth gun violence

DENVER — On Monday evening, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock will hold a call with the community centered around youth gun violence.

Hancock and officials from the Department of Public Safety will update residents on inter-agency efforts and existing programs that are focused on preventing gun violence among Denver's youths. Hancock will also be able to hear from callers about how the city can support community efforts and connect with more youths.

According to the city, this "call-to-action is meant to create a unified community-wide effort to stop the violence and better support our youth."
