DENVER -- A retired Massachusetts physician and political activist will embark on a two-day trip to Colorado, following a similar campaign trail to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton before her.

Jill Stein, the presidential candidate of the Green Party, is looking to appeal to Bernie Sanders supporters and anybody who might champion a third-party candidate in a field of unpopular options.

It's largely accepted that both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are unpopular candidates, so third party candidates are seizing opportunity to make a difference in the election.

On Aug. 27, Stein will hold a rally and march at 12 p.m., championing peace, climate and justice. She will then give a speech at the All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church at 1:30 p.m.

That evening, she will head north to Fort Collins for an event at Avogadro at 6:30 p.m.

Just a day later, she will be in Denver, for an opportunity to get to know Denver voters at Mercury Cafe at 1 p.m. At 7 p.m., she'll host a fundraiser at the Glenn Miller Ballroom of the University of Colorado Campus.
