GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – A 39-year-old Grand Junction man was arrested Tuesday on several felony counts involving an alleged sexual assault of a child.
Erik Craig, 39, was arrested on charges of second-degree kidnapping, sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child – pattern of abuse, enticement of a child (with a previous conviction), obscenity and failing to register as a sex offender.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office said the charges stemmed from a May 2019 incident involving a juvenile but did not release further information about the case.
Craig is being held without bond until his first court appearance, the sheriff’s office said.
It said the case remains under investigation.
