DENVER – We’re just about average when it comes to charitable giving, Colorado.

That’s according to WalletHub, which just released a ranking of the most charitable states for Giving Tuesday. Colorado was ranked 26th out of 50 states.

WalletHub looked at a variety of statistics from government agencies, nonprofit organizations and other institutions to determine how much money and time people give to charity. Those statistics include volunteer rates, the share of the population collecting and distributing goods to those in need, share of income donated, public charities per capita and others.

Based on those factors, Utah came out on top, followed by Maryland, Minnesota and Wyoming. Wisconsin rounds out the top five.

The title of “least charitable” went to Hawaii.
