CASTLE ROCK, Colo. -- The company that introduced the world to the now well-known slogan "Get a roof, get a gun" is back at it again with a new promotion to attract employees.
According to the company, they'll embark upon the hiring of new employees after generating a host of new business in southern Colorado with their Second Amendment-loving promotion announced in the beginning of August.
While James Webb, the owner of Weatherproof Roofing, said he completely supports the Second Amendment, he also wants to promote safe gun ownership.
For employees he recruits -- including sales and customer representatives, administration, sales management and insurance supplementing positions -- they'll have mandates and need to pass background checks before they're given the opportunity to get a gun. The company also only issues a voucher for employees to get a gun from a local gun shop.
Sales positions, for example, will need to bring in 10 new clients before they're eligible for the new promotion.
Those who hear about Webb's promotions fall on both sides of the fence, but Webb says he supports safe gun ownership and will continue to do so.
