DENVER -- Scattered throughout Colorado's mountains are now-forgotten towns that once served as vibrant centers of business and trade.
Many of them were founded as mill or mining towns in the 1800s as people rushed to Colorado to try to cash in on the booming industries.
Today, what little is left of these towns offers a glimpse into the state's colorful past.
