In a statement, CU Boulder said, "we are committed to getting campus affiliates the latest information we have in a timely fashion to keep everyone safe. And, once we develop more information through witness interviews, we share that information, too."

CU Boulder Police tell Denver7's Nicole Brady they do not believe the man is a student, but they do not know who he is.

4:00 a.m.
CU Police tell Denver7 they received a report of someone with a weapon inside Farrand Hall around 3:30 a.m. Officers are on-scene now.
According to CU's website, Farrand Hall is home to about 400 students.
