9:06 p.m. — The eastbound lanes of I-70 are back open at Wolcott following a wildfire in Eagle County, CDOT says.
6:49 p.m. — Westbound I-70 is now open at Avon, but the eastbound lanes remain closed at Wolcott.
6: 46 p.m. — Denver police officers are conducting a death investigation in the area of Florida and Platte River Drive. No other information was immediately available.
6:25 p.m. — I-70 is estimated to be closed until 8:30 p.m. while crews continue to put out hotspots from a wildfire burning in Eagle County. The westbound lanes of I-70 are closed at Avon; the eastbound lanes at Wolcott. Use Highway 6 as an alternate route, but expect heavy delays, CSP Eagle says.
5:47 p.m. — Interstate 70 is closed in both directions between Wolcott and Avon due to a wildfire that is threatening nearby structures, according to CSP Eagle officials. You are asked to avoid the area, including Highway 6.
