10:56 a.m. 

Jessie Smiley with Denver Public Schools confirmed that the Emily Griffith Technical College Trades Campus is on lockout due to police activity in the area. Doug Schepman with the Denver Police Department said they are investigating reports of shots fired near W. 10th Avenue and Osage Street. Police have not found any evidence that pointed to a shooting, he said. 

10:50 a.m.

Boulder SWAT negotiators are on the phone with the suspect who is believed to be armed inside Hair Rage International. More SWAT team members and bomb technicians are on the way to the scene, police said.

10:30 a.m.

Boulder police have responded to a report of a man with a gun inside the Hair Rage International salon at Table Mesa Shopping Center in South Boulder. Police have asked people to avoid the area. We are working to get more information from police. A reporter at the scene says there is a SWAT truck nearby.
