7:52 a.m.: A person with dementia who went missing in Lakewood on Tuesday was located safe and sound early Thursday morning, police reported at 7:52 a.m. The 82-year-old hadn't been heard from since Tuesday after driving from his residence in Lakewood. 

7:42 a.m.: Power has been restored to over 4,000 people who were without power beginning at roughly 6:50 a.m. on Thursday. Xcel reported the outage, expecting to establish power to the area of Decatur to Stewart and Mississippi to 6th in Denver by 8 a.m. 

2:54 a.m.: Elk vs car crash demonstrates dangers of wildlife on roads. Colorado State Patrol responded to an early morning crash Thursday that left a car totaled. The damage to the car was so extensive, the roof of the vehicle could be seen curled up. See a photo below.

2:30 a.m.: A 32-year-old man who drowned in a Rangely, Colorado reservoir has been identified. Police identified the man as Francis Manu of Lakewood after an investigation beginning the day prior. Officials said Manu was swimming with friends in Kenney Reservoir on Wednesday when he slid into water off the cliffs and never resurfaced. Divers located Manu's body on Wednesday at 8:20 p.m.This is the Denver7 breaking and developing news blog.
