5:00 p.m.: Power has been restored in Arvada near 44th and Kipling after a three-vehicle crash knocked out a transformer in the area.

4:49 p.m.: The Arvada Fire Department is reporting a large power outage after a vehicle crashed into a transformer near West 44th Avenue and Kipling Street. Police say three vehicles were involved.

4:47 p.m.: Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area of the fire. Crews were called out to the plant at 4661 Ivy Street around 4 p.m. The fire is burning just off interstate 70 near Colorado Boulevard. Denver police have closed several roads in the area.

4:26 p.m.: Crews are battling a large fire at a Denver metal recycling plant. Smoke from the fire can be seen for several miles around. It's not clear what started the fire. No injuries have been reported.

3:20 p.m.: Denver Police are investigating a death in the 800 block of South Newton Street in the southwest part of the city. No other details related to the investigation are known at this time.

11:18 a.m.: Highway 6 has reopened in Clear Creek Canyon.

11:10 a.m.: Cleanup continues following a crash on Highway 6; the highway is still closed.

10:36 a.m.: Highway 6 is closed in Clear Creek Canyon due to a crash involving an SUV and a bus:

6:00 a.m.: If you're headed up to Loveland Pass this morning, make sure you have the proper tires or other traction devices.
