11:50 a.m. — Berthoud Fire responded to a structure fire on E. Turner Avenue Tuesday morning. Flames were visible when firefighters arrived, but they were able to contain it to the garage, the department said. Nobody was home at the time. They rescued a dog from the home.
BFPD responded to a structure fire at E. Turner Ave. Active fire was visible upon arrival. Within minutes crews knocked down the fire, containing it to the garage. No one was home at the time. 11:30 a.m. — Firefighters with West Metro Fire are at the scene of a single-family structure fire on Garden Road and Indiana Street. The fire, which started in a garage around 9:50 a.m., extended into the attic of the home. A family cat was found in one of the back bedrooms and was rescued. A frozen fire hydrant caused a slight delay. West Metro Fire said there were no injuries.

11:10 a.m. — Crystal McCoy with the Aurora Police Department said officers responded to the intersection of E. Iliff Avenue at S. Vaughn Way Tuesday morning after a child was struck by a car. McCoy said the department believes a 12-year-old girl ran into traffic around 8:20 a.m. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The young girl is in critical condition. Iliff Avenue reopened at 10:30 a.m.
