8:48 p.m.: The "suspicious person on campus" at DU alert was in response to reports of a man who exposed himself in front of a group of kids by the Ritchie Center, according to a University of Denver spokesperson.

 

8:29 p.m.: The University of Denver is alerting people to stay inside or seek safety in a nearest building following reports of a suspicious person on campus. 

7:30 p.m.: The Adams County Sheriff's Office has given the all-clear following reports of a man barricaded inside a home in the 1600 block of East 78th Avenue. SWAT officers found the suspected gunman who surrendered without incident. The man had an outstanding felony warrant. No one was injured. 

4:12 p.m.: Thornton Police are securing an area in the 1600 block of East 78th Avenue after a report of shots fired. Police say someone shot a gun in the air and ran back inside the house. Police are not clear if the person is still inside the house. Welby Elementary is on lock out status due to the 78th Avenue police activity. Parents can pick their kids up at Valley View Elementary, located at 660 West 70th Avenue.

3:59 p.m.: The Adams County Sheriff's Office is warning residents to avoid the 1600 block of East 78th Avenue because of what they call a "developing incident." No other details were immediately available.
