11:07 a.m. -- The Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Office says deputies have found nothing so far to substantiate threats of explosives and a person with a weapon near Columbine HS. Students and staff reported safe. Updates on that situation are being made here.
10:50 a.m. — The Jefferson County Sheriff's office says a call came in this morning claiming that there were explosive devices inside the school; the caller claimed to be hiding outside with a gun. Nothing has been found to validate the threats; students and staff are safe. Parents should not go to school to pick up their children. School will let out at 2:45 p.m.
10:25 a.m. — There continues to be a huge police presence at Columbine High School. Several roads in the area are closed. Parents are being told not to pick up their children until 2:45 p.m. All students and staff are safe, JeffCo Sheriff's Office said.

9:52 a.m. — All schools in the Columbine, Chatfield and Dakota Ridge areas have been placed in lockout due to a suspicious person in the Columbine area, JeffCo Public Schools says. Students will remain inside. Nobody is allowed to enter or exit the school.

9:37 a.m. — Jenny Fulton with JeffCo Sheriff's Office said the district has received word of a threat at Columbine High School. The school has been placed on hold — meaning students are held in classrooms — after a suspicious person was seen in the area, though the person is not on school property, according to JeffCo Public Schools.
