DENVER -- If you're thinking of going out shopping for the sweetest deals Black Friday, the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife has a sweeter deal for you: It’s offering free access to all 41 Colorado state parks on Fresh Air Friday.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office are teaming up to offer the free access.
The agencies hope to encourage people to go outside on Black Friday instead of standing in long lines to join the massive shopping spree generally seen on that day.
Park entrance fees are waived, but activities like fishing and camping will still require a valid license and permit.
