Foundation seeks artists to enhance Aurora memorial

AURORA, Colo. – The 7/20 Memorial Foundation is seeking artists to submit their work for consideration to be part of a permanent memorial.

The memorial will honor those whose lives were lost or changed forever after the July 20, 2012, mass shooting at the Century 16 Theater in Aurora.

Artists that wish to contribute have until Feb. 6, 2017 to have their work considered for the project. Staff from Aurora’s Public Art Program and the 7/20 Memorial Foundationare managing the selection process. You can submit your application here.

The planned memorial garden will be located at the Aurora Municipal Center. It will be included as part of the Xeriscape Garden at Alameda and Chambers.
