FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Police in Fort Collins are asking for the community’s help identifying a man suspected of stabbing another man in a fight Friday evening.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, officers with the Fort Collins Police Service responded to multiple reports of a disturbance in a parking lot along the 2400 block of S. College Avenue, police said.

As officers drove to the scene, they learned that one of the people involved was armed with a knife. When they arrived, they found a 25-year-old man who was injured. He was transported to a hospital.

When police started to investigate, they determined that the 25-year-old and the suspect had been hanging in the area with friends before a verbal altercation broke out and turned physical, police said.

The suspect fled the area and, as of Tuesday morning, had not been found. He is described as a short, heavyset Hispanic man and may have arm tattoos. His vehicle was described as a dark-colored four-door Kia.

No other injuries were reported.
