For the second time in his career, former Colorado State linebacker Shaquil Barrett helped lead his team to a Super Bowl victory.

Barrett and his defensive teammates with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers helped hold off and the Kansas City Chiefs and their quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Sunday evening for Super Bowl LV. The Buccaneers ended the game with 31 points over Kansas City's 9.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, Mahomes was pressured on 29 of 56 dropbacks, the most of any quarterback in Super Bowl history.

The Baltimore native lettered at CSU from 2011 through 2013 and finished his college career with 246 tackles, including 18 sacks and 32.5 tackles for loss. He added three interceptions, seven forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and six pass breakups. Barrett’s 18 sacks ranked seventh on the career charts when his playing career concluded.

Barrett earned his first Super Bowl ring with the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. He is now the first former Ram to win multiple Super Bowls. Jack Christiansen and Jim David both won three titles in the pre-Super Bowl era while Fum McGraw won a pair, according to CSU.
