Footprints in the snow led police to a suspect in a series of smash-and-grabs in Englewood early Friday morning.
The burglar hit a business on Hampden, then two more on Broadway, around 2 a.m.
Officers told Denver7 the footprints from the businesses on Broadway led to an apartment about 0.3 miles away.
When officers talked to the occupant, the man said he had been in all night, but officers said they saw his wet shoes and arrested him.
The man is suspected of burglarizing AZ Electronics, Panda One and Moji Hair Salon.
There have been more than three dozen smash-and-grab burglaries in the Denver metro area since December 2.
"Detectives are currently investigating the burglaries and prior burglaries to see if they are connected," Englewood police said in a news release sent to Denver7. "Surrounding agencies have been contacted and are also following up on their prior smash and grab burglaries."
