CO company wants you to fly like a millionaire

Posted

Want to go to the mountains and avoid the nightmare of I-70 traffic? There may be a way for you to get there, and the price tag might not be as sky high as you may think.

"Fly FreshAir" is a new Colorado Company that promises to cut your travel time to the mountains in half by taking you to your favorite ski resort on your own private jet.

"It really cuts my travel time in half," said one of FreshAir's newest costumers, Jeff Smokevitch. "Driving, it would take me 7 hours. Flying commercially, it's going to take me at least 4-5 hours."

Smokevitch owns award-wining pizza shops in both Denver and Telluride, and with this service he gets as close as he can to being in both places at one time.

Here's how it works:

  • You pay a one-time initiation fee of $1,500.
  • Then $1,000 a month for unlimited flights.

By taking a jet, you also avoid the dangers of running into wildlife or weather on the roads.

Founder Timmy Wozniak has spent his entire life in aviation.

"FreshAir is an all-you-can-fly membership to the mountains," said Wozniak.

FreshAir offers flights to Aspen, Vail and Telluride every Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday out of Centennial Airport.

"I think after you take a look at the traffic situation on I-70, that helped fuel things a little bit quicker,” said Wozniak, who launched FreshAir just last month. Family memberships are $3,000/month, plus an initiation fee.

"These pilots have more experience flying in the mountains than any other company out there,” Wozniak said. "People are already paying a premium to fly on the Uniteds of the world to get up there. This is the same price."
