DENVER – Happy Wednesday! Here are five things you need to know to start your day:

1. Pres. Trump announces new FBI director nominee
President Donald Trump tweeted his new choice for FBI director this morning. Christopher Wray is a former U.S. Justice Department official who also served as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s lawyer.

2. Colorado Mills job fair
The state labor department is hosting a job fair for workers displaced by the closure of Colorado Mills mall. The job fair runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Marriott Denver West, 17 Denver West Blvd.

3. Speer Boulevard closure
A partial closure will affect northbound traffic on Speer Boulevard Wednesday morning. The closure, between Colfax and Champa streets, will last from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

4. More storms possible this afternoon
There’s a slight risk for severe thunderstorms by mid to late afternoon across the I-25 corridor after 2 p.m. This weekend is going to be hot, with temperatures in the 90s.
