DENVER -- Good morning! Here's what you need to know today:

1. Attorney General Jeff Sessions testifies
Sessions will give public testimony before the Senate intelligence committee Tuesday afternoon, just days after fired FBI Director James Comey did the same. Denver7 will cover the hearing live.

2. Fire danger remains high in Colorado
Crews are battling two wildfires burning in northwest Colorado. The Dead Dog Fire burning near Rangley grew to over 5,000 acres Monday. Meanwhile, the Hunter Fire burning near Craig has scorched more than 500 acres.

3. Last chance to talk to CDOT
The Colorado Department of Transportation heard an earful on a wide range of transportation issues during several telephone town halls. Tuesday is the last day to be heard. The agency will compile a list of all the questions that were asked for people to review in the next few weeks. 

4. Man who tried to run down Aurora cop sentenced
Alejandro Garcia will be sentenced Tuesday following a guilty plea in an attempted murder case. Garcia tried to run down an Aurora cop during a traffic stop in 2015.

5. Ride the Rockies kicks off
The annual bike trek through Colorado kicks off Tuesday. More than 2,000 cyclists will be participating in the week-long event.
