CO 3rd grader: Give world hope for Christmas

Posted

Sometimes it takes a child to remind you of the meaning of Christmas.

McKenna Mott's teacher asked her 3rd grade class to write about the non-materialistic gifts that would make the world a better place. The Firestone, Colorado student's dad said McKenna was excited about the assignment.

McKenna, who attends Legacy Elementary, took a little time to think of the ideas, but once they came to her, they were easy to explain.

McKenna Mott wants to give the world...

Hope: "The world needs some hope because it would help people see that if you have hope you can make it through hard times."

Happiness: "We need happiness because when we have happiness we get along with each other better."

Courage: "The world should have courage because when we have courage we know we can do something and we can be more brave."

The young student's dad told Denver7, "The world would be a better place if we all had the mindset of a 3rd grader."
