DENVER – Firefighters had to rescue someone from a car after it was involved in a collision with a light rail train in downtown Denver Friday morning.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Park Avenue and Welton Street shortly before 9 a.m. The car was pinned between the train and a utility pole.
Firefighters said they extricated a woman from the car. She was “doing well,” firefighters said.
One person on the train suffered a minor injury.
The circumstances leading up to the crash weren’t immediately clear.
