CASTLE PINES, Colo. — A home in the Castle Pines neighborhood was heavily damaged by fire Monday afternoon.
South Metro Fire crews responded to the home at 611 Cliffgate Lane around 3 p.m.
Crews say two people were inside at the time flames broke out, but managed to escape after the smoke alarms went off.
According to firefighters, heavy flames self-vented up through the roof. The multi-million dollar home appears to have been destroyed.
Firefighters say there is no threat to surrounding structures.
There is no word on what caused the fire. An investigation is ongoing.
