PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. -- The entire Beulah Valley was put under mandatory evacuation orders Monday night after a fire sparked on Beulah Hill in Pueblo County early Monday afternoon, growing quickly as the area was bombarded by high wind.
A shelter for people forced to evacuate has been set up at the Colorado State Fair Events Center. Evacuees are advised to use the Beulah Gate and to take Highway 78 south to evacuate to Pueblo.

The fire was estimated at 3,000 acres by 8:30 p.m. No injuries have been reported so far, but seven structures have been lost, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office.
Power was reported out in the town of Beulah just before 10 p.m.
South Metro Fire and Rescue has sent two engines and a strike team to assist with the fire.
A pre-evacuation notice was issued for the entire town of Beulah just after 4 p.m. Shortly afterward, power was knocked out to the towns of Beulah and Rye, though the supply to Rye was restored just before 6 p.m.
Just before 5 p.m., the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office ordered immediate evacuations at the Mountain Shadow Mobile Home park. And just after 6 p.m. evacuations were ordered for North Signal Mountain Road at 1745.
The fire was estimated at 2,400 acres, with 0 percent containment, by 6:30 p.m. according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, which says seven structures have been lost so far.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at Roncalli Middle School, located at 4202 CO-78, in Pueblo. Small pets should be taken to the Pueblo Animal Services located at 4600 EagleRidge Pl in Pueblo. Large animals should be taken to the Colorado State Fairgrounds.
