ARVADA, Colo. – One person was hospitalized due to a fire that damaged an apartment building in Arvada Tuesday night.
Firefighters responded to the building near the intersection of 64th and Oak Street around 11 p.m.
It appears the fire started on the second floor and spread to the roof. Several units were damaged and five people are displaced, firefighters said.
Several animals had to be rescued and one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
