THORNTON, Colo. — Four people were injured in an apartment fire in Thornton Monday afternoon.
Firefighters from the Thornton Fire Department were called to the Skyline Apartments, located at 517 E. 88th Ave., sometime around 3 p.m.
Heavy flames were shooting out of building 10 when crews arrived.
Two people were transported to the hospital with unknown extent of injuries. Two other people were injured but refused treatment on scene, according to the Thornton Fire Department.
The fire destroyed or damaged 24 units in the building, displacing several people.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Responding agencies include Thornton Fire, Adams County Fire and North Metro Fire.
