Adams County, Colo. - A person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash that briefly closed southbound lanes of Interstate 25.
The single vehicle crash happened shortly before 3 a.m. Friday on the ramp from U.S. 36 to southbound I-25.
The Interstate reopened around 4:30 a.m. but the ramp from eastbound U.S. 36 to southbound I-25 remained closed.
Troopers were investigating what cased the crash, according to Master Trooper Gary Cutler with the Colorado State Patrol.
The ramp reopen around 7:30 a.m.
Hate to see the holiday weekend start this way with a fatal crash. The ramp from EB highway 36 to SB I-25 is closed. And the right lanes on SB 25 are closed at the scene. No alternate for I-25 but you can use Broadway south to 58th ave as alternate for highway 36. pic.twitter.com/CT0BHV9iQF
